What Are The Safety Standards?

Negi Sports has pioneered many risk management procedures that have proved successful at each camp. Read more about our safety and risk management procedure on the link dedicated for the same.

What Can I Expect During The Enrollment Process?
You and your child will need to fill our enrollment form mentioning all details. These forms help us learn about your child's physical and medical needs etc. It's very important that you provide accurate information on these forms as it allows our instructors to make the necessary preparations for special needs in the wilderness. Availability of dates 3 weeks prior to the course date may be difficult therefore you are requested to enroll well in time to prevent last minute disappointments.

What Experience Do I Need?
All you need is willingness to try and the desire to make friends. You should speak with one of our project directors to match your readiness, location and age with the right program. We encourage you to expect a lot of Negi Sports and your leaders because we are going to expect a lot from you! Our courses require enthusiastic participation and willingness to learn in all activities because those who are motivated to learn are most rewarded by this experience.

Do I Need To Get In Shape?
The challenges of Negi Sports can be demanding. We recommend regular aerobic exercise for at least two weeks before taking any of our trips. Walking, jogging, swimming or riding a bike are all good ways to increase your fitness, so you can get the most out of your Negi Sports experience.

What Should I Expect On The Course?
Having fun is an important goal, but Negi Sports Children Wilderness Education Course is not a catered vacation. You'll be involved in all aspects of the group's adventure including keeping your surroundings clean, leading the group and looking after your own personal needs. The day starts early and is generally packed with a lot of activities. Our purpose is to teach you skills in a fun and positive environment. This does not mean it will be easy or without challenge, but at all times we eat well, have a supportive group atmosphere, and most importantly all will have fun in the process.

What Will The First Day Of The Course Be Like?
Everyone is apprehensive on the first day of a Negi Sports Wilderness Course. There will be a lot to absorb, new people, new gear, new routines, and new environments. Each course starts out with a meeting. You'll get to know your course mates and instructors and make plans. Your course will progress slowly for the first day, allowing everyone to adjust to the altitude and the new activities. Within a day or so, your home and town would just be a memory as you learn and laugh with your new friends.

What Gear Does Negi Sports Provide?
Negi Sports provides everything but personal items like clothing, footwear, toiletries and raingear. Sleeping bags, shelter, items required for adventure activity all are provided. Once you are accepted on the course, we will provide you a detailed list of clothing and other items of necessities to be carried with you on the trip.

What Mode Of Transportation Will Be Used?
Travel will be by Deluxe Non AC chartered buses. We do not hire or recommend AC Coaches as we need to keep in mind that a large number of students might suffer form motion sickness.

How Is The Food On The Trip?
We recognize that good food is an important factor in the overall success of an outdoor program. As a result, we spend a great deal of time on food selection and preparation to ensure a delicious and well balanced menu. Each camp has an in-house kitchen (permanent or tented structure) with all basic facilities and infrastructure. Despite where and which camp you are attending you will have the finest food course you can imagine. We cater for most diets, including vegetarian, non-vegetarian, low-fat, and diabetic. It is very important that you advise us of any special dietary needs at the time of application.

What Is The Accommodation Like?
Accommodation is in tents/ cottages depending on the campus. Based on the group strength and tent size, 2-8 participants share a tent, this is clean and comfortable but intentionally devoid of luxuries. The toilets and baths are separate and have fittings and running water. The campuses have the provision of electricity. Some of our camps do not have the electricity provision and we have dry toilets. They operate on an expedition style and are very suitable for the perfect camping experience. So come prepared to rough it out in the outdoors.

What Is Included In The Tuition?
The tuition fee includes accommodations, activities, all transportation during the trip, meals, helmet, tents, etc. You should be able to fully participate without any additional expense. You are requested to carry adequate clothing depending on the duration of your course as no laundry facility is available, you may also be exposed to rainy weather.

Is Tuition Fee Negotiable?
Parents are requested not to negotiate pricing as the program fee has been designed keeping in mind the expenditure we incur on all safety aspects for your child and compromise on that is not acceptable.

What About Spending Money?
You should bring Rs 500-1000 for your personal spending. This will cover gifts, film, personal items, impulse purchases or miscellaneous purchases at the tuck shop.

Do You Ever Change Trip Itineraries Or Locations?
Yes we do, trip or location highlights are a broad outline, not a precise description. But any changes made will be clearly communicated with you and your family and will only be made in the interest of safety or a more successful trip.

How Do I Keep In Touch With My Family?
Your family will know when you arrive at your destination because a course leader is required to send an SMS to let them know of your safe arrival. We try to send regular SMS’s to your parents about the general well being of the children but you can not speak directly with your parents during your stay so that you can concentrate on your Negi Sports experience and bond with your new friends. Of course we will move heaven and earth to call your family in any sort of emergency, but no news is good news in our book.

What If My Family Needs To Contact Me Or Visit Me During Camp?
Our Chandigarh office is reachable by phone and e-mail 24 hours a day. All problems are handled immediately and the family is always contacted directly. Visiting your child during camp is discouraged, simply because it may cause your child or other children to feel homesick and be distracted from the program. Also parents are discouraged to call their child during the program as it disrupts the smooth conduction of the program.

What If I Don't Like It?
Negi Sports Children Wilderness Education Course is not for everyone. An extremely low percentage of Negi Sports participants do not complete their trip. If you are not comfortable in new environment, or you arrive with a negative attitude, chances are you won't enjoy your experience. But we exceed the expectations of the vast majority of our customers.

Adverse Behavior On Course?
We do our best to make sure that all students who arrive on the course are motivated and want to be there. In case any student behaves in a way that our instructors deem as inappropriate and/or detrimental to the individual or the whole group, our instructors are empowered to have these individuals removed from the course area to assure everyone's safety and quality delivery of our courses. If your child is removed from course for bad behavior, you will be notified. Refunds are not given for bad behavior removal and parents/guardians will be required to pick up your child from the campsite. Parents/guardians will have to bare the cost in case the same is arranged by Negi Sports
